Barbet & Pals is an Indian bar built on stories, friendships, and a deep respect for the land that shaped its founders. After more than a decade behind some of India’s most loved bars and brands, Jeet Rana and Chirag Pal set out to create something personal- an honest expression of who they are, where they come from, and what they believe Indian bar culture can be.
Inspired by the Barbet bird which is colourful, social, energetic, and never alone- Barbet & Pals is designed as a flock-first space. A place where no one drinks alone, conversations flow easily, and every night feels alive. It’s not just about great cocktails, but about how those cocktails make you feel- connected, curious, and welcomed.
At its core, Barbet & Pals celebrates forgotten flavours, hidden regions, and ingredients that rarely find space behind the bar. Through thoughtful technique and storytelling, these elements are reimagined into contemporary cocktails and food that feel both familiar and surprising. Every menu, experience, and detail is rooted in purpose, bringing people closer to India’s diverse landscapes, one sip at a time.
Built through nine months of chaos, trial, laughter, and relentless belief, Barbet & Pals is a dream shaped by mistakes and madness, held together by friendship and heart. It’s a bar that evolves with the night, is easy and welcoming in the evening, electric and unapologetic after dark.

Our Story – Jeet & Chirag
Jeet Rana and Chirag Pal’s journey spans over a decade of bartending, travelling, mentoring, and shaping some of India’s most influential bar programs. What began behind crowded counters and late-night shifts grew into a shared vision- one rooted in friendship, curiosity, and a desire to give back to the country that shaped them.
Both bartenders at heart, Jeet and Chirag are known not just for their technique, but for their warmth behind the bar. Their approach has always been about people first- using cocktails as a way to start conversations, build communities, and tell stories that matter. Over the years, their paths crossed across cities, bars, and projects, eventually leading to a natural partnership built on trust and creative balance.
Barbet & Pals is their most personal chapter yet. Every drink on the menu reflects where they’ve been- the hills they grew up in, the bars that raised them, the ingredients that obsessed them, and the friendships that kept them going. Jeet’s playful mischief meets Chirag’s quiet depth, creating a menu and a space that feels honest, emotional, and alive.
Together, they’ve built more than a bar, they’ve built a home for stories to land and take flight.
Chef Amninder Sandhu brings a deeply personal and instinctive approach to food at Barbet & Pals. Known for her thoughtful exploration of Indian flavours and regional cooking, she believes food should be comforting, emotional, and rooted in memory- values that align seamlessly with the ethos of the bar.
At Barbet & Pals, Chef Amninder has curated a menu inspired by dishes closest to Jeet and Chirag’s hearts- food they love to eat, reimagined with nuance and care. The result is elevated comfort food that feels familiar yet unexpected, striking a balance between nostalgia and modern technique.
Her cooking celebrates indigenous ingredients, regional traditions, and bold flavour pairings without losing warmth or approachability. From mountain-inspired dishes to playful bar bites, every plate is designed to be shared, discussed, and enjoyed alongside cocktails.
